The effects on DNA damage in A549 cells co-cultured with kaolin-incorporated RAW264 cells. A549 was co-cultured with or without RAW264 cells, DNA damage in A549 cells was analyzed using comet assay with FPG protein. Kaolins were exposed to A549 cells (a) or RAW264 cells (b) at a dose of 100 μg/mL for 60 min. Control represents treatment with saline containing 0.05 of Tween 80.
