Representative comet images of corneal epithelial cells in rabbits. The comet assay were performed using corneal epithelial cells 2 h after the single ocular instillation of saline as the negative control (a), 1 % ethidium bromide (b), 5 % 1,1′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium dichloride (paraquat) (c), 0.6 % methyl methanesulfonate (MMS) (d), 3 % acrylamide (e), 5 % dimethyl sulfoxide in saline (5 % DMSO) as the negative control (f), or 0.2 % 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide (4-NQO) (g).
